The AgroSense project team (Project Number: 016476, PI: Emmanouil Psomiadis, Ass Professor, AUA) organised the AgroSense Project Findings Dissemination Workshop on 13 November 2025 in Aliartos. The event drew a broad audience, including the Mayor of Aliartos–Thespies, Mr. Arapitsas, the Territory Sales Specialist at Corteva Agriscience, and Agronomist Mr. Argyriou, as well as numerous farmers, agronomists, and representatives from local institutions and stakeholders.
During the workshop, the research team, led by the Primary Investigator, Dr. Emmanouil Psomiadis, presented the methodology and key findings of the AgroSense project. The project harnesses satellite imagery, UAV (drone) data, and ground-based measurements to support integrated crop monitoring, precision agriculture, and sustainable production. The presentations, given by Dr. E. Psomiadis, A. Kavvadias, and A. Oikonomou, demonstrated how remote sensing technologies can enhance decision-making in farming, improve productivity, and promote environmentally responsible agricultural practices.
The workshop concluded with a drone flight demonstration at the AUA Experimental Field, providing attendees with the opportunity to observe UAV-based data collection and discuss the practical applications of remote sensing in agriculture.
It was a constructive and inspiring day, marked by collaboration, knowledge exchange, and hands-on engagement with cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural sector.
